Wild Seashore Ponies
Wild ponies roam the beaches, marshes, and forests of several islands along America's east coast. Assateague Island is famous for the annual pony swim when horses are herded across a narrow channel to Chincoteague Island where some are auctioned off to control the populaton and raise money for the local fire department.
